  • After that, you also should select the command in following order: Filter, Stylize, and then Emboss. Make sure you set the Angle to -50, the Height to 2 pixels, and the Amount to 70%. To change the color of the background you can choose Image, followed by Adjust and then select the Hue-Saturation-Brightness.

  • If you like a glowing effect without using filters, you may try another option by duplicating a layer. First of all, you should choose the color of the glow. Once chose the lower duplicate, select Edit and then Stroke. Set the desired pixels width between 1 and 16 on the Stroke Options.

  • The final step, select the Gaussian Blur to the layer from Filters menu. Gaussian Blur will give the softer glow on the layer.
