With the massive development of social network integration, there is a new social web browser you can find over cyber space called Flock. Flock can be considered as Google Chrome with social networking features. The previous versions of Flock were based on Mozilla but the latest version is built on Google’s Chromium open source project. In other words, Flock is a little software that operates fairly like Google Chrome.
There are three major features included in Flock which are the sidebar, the link button, and the ability to create an account with Flock. Taking a closer look to each of the feature, the social networking sidebar integrates with Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. The interface is designed for easy navigation and you will be able to create groups for different friends.
The link button is the second feature offered and it creates a shortcut for posting links to popular sites on your Twitter or Facebook. By doing this, you can have more ideas about sharing links with friends and family. The last feature is Opera 11. This feature helps you to create an account and therefore you can be able to log into Flock browser and attain your bookmarks as well as social network accounts connected to it.
However, you should see that Flock comes with problem just like other social sites. The problem is that it is not truly that attractive and in some ways can be counter-intuitive. Using Flock means that you are doing activity related to you as internet users inside a separate space in a web browser.
Other problems appear when you visit Flock is that the browser supports only two available extensions. So, this is an unfortunate scenario that this smaller browser may find a tough time to competing with the larger ecosystems of the incumbents. In fact, Opera 11 is still in alpha and it comes with more extensions existing.
Another problem unveiled regarding Flock is that when you need to use the social networking features without logging in to them each time you make use the browser, you will still need to link the browser to a Flock account. However, apart from those issues, Flock performs a good job that it presents the speedy underpinning and clean interface, but it is just lean.
Overall the description above, Flock works well and it is easy to install. Flock will import all your bookmarks from whatever browser you presently use at ease.
